How much does it cost to install an EV charger at home?
The truth is, this depends on a few factors: 
 
∙The charger you’ve picked: untethered,
tethered or a dual charger 
∙The distance from the consumer unit 
∙If any groundwork or DNO upgrades are 
required 
∙The complexity of your installation and 
labour costs 
∙If your existing electrical system needs 
to be upgraded in any way 
Every installation is reviewed by our 
approved installers.  To qualify for a standard install package your installation must meet the following criteria:
 
 ∙Offer applies to 10m cable installations, 
including data cable for load limiting 
∙The cable must be drilled through an external 
wall and clipped direct to the charger 
location.
∙Consumer unit must be up to date and have adequate space.
∙Charger installed from an existing DP isolator using a Henley block, or installing from a compliant consumer unit which has a spare
non-RCD Way. (If an upgrade is needed to an existing RCD in the consumer unit this would be additional costs to customer and subject to quoting). 
∙Installation of Surge protection, DP Type A 
RCD and required MCB 
∙The charger location must be in reach of the household WiFi. If booster required will be additional cost 
∙Charger to be installed to a brick or plaster
 wall or other suitable permanent structure 
∙Testing, commissioning, set up and 
demonstration of charger 
The timescale between booking your charger
and having it installed can vary, 
However, we always aim to ensure all our installations
are completed within 2 weeks of your initial enquiry. This includes our initial visit
and free site assessment from one of our qualified
technicians, quotation and installation.  The actual installation can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on complexity.
